QUIET WEDDING
by Esther McCracken

Produced by Cheree Hill

THE PLAY

Light-hearted and slightly risque comedy. When Janet and Dallas get engaged, all they really want is a quiet wedding, but everyone else seems to think otherwise. Interfering relatives, local busybodies, problems with the wedding arrangements all combine to drive poor Janet crazy. Tempers flare, quarrels abound and only the arrival of Aunt Mary removes the threat of a broken engagement. On her advice Dallas and Janet slip away the night before the Big Event for a few hours of uninterrupted bliss. Even that is not a trouble-free escape, but eventually all ends happily enough at the altar.
