There've been so many...being
egotistical: mine! "Cat's Cradle", perhaps, or more recently "Haunted" |

Favourite Role

There've also been so many...Charles
in "Bedwitchery" or Haroun in "The Brides of March" were both good for a
lot of frolicking about with attractive women! Oscar in "The Odd Couple"
is a serious contender - it's a monster of a part to learn but very satisfying
to have done, especially with Stuart providing the perfect oppo. On
balance, though (and newly-favouritest) would have to be the eponymous
Inspector, in "An Inspector Calls". |

A Bit About Me
|
I drifted into the group rather by
accident, when offering to help out a bit whilst dating my future first
ex-wife Philippa. It started innocuously enough, working on graphics and
behind the scenes...but then it happened. Short of any other available
men of suitable age, the producer approached me with a "Would you mind
just doing a small part on stage..?". Thanks, Mary! It's been all uphill (or downhill,
depending on your perspective) ever since and the Cissbury Players have
been one of my main interests for the best part of twenty years now. It
doesn't seem that long, but I'm not being asked to do the young male
roles any more, so I suppose it must be...
Outside the drama, I work in IT, spend a
lot of time messing about with computers, fast bikes and listening to
music nobody else likes very much. I am happily married to Sue, who can
often be found helping out in front of house, and we live with four cats
and a load of garden statues.
